ALMA Appeal: For Queensland's & Sri Lanka's flood victims

As you are aware, Floods in Queensland and in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka in the last couple of weeks has brought misery and hardship to hundreds of thousands of people. The death toll is rising and many are missing with grave fears for their lives.

Needless to say it then becomes a responsibility of those who can help to lend a helping hand. As Muslims it is a highly rewarded act towards seeking the pleasure of Allah (SWT) and as fellow citizens it is our responsibility towards our countrymen.

ALMA previously has helped the Victorian Bushfire victims and Innesfail victims of Cyclone Larry and it had a very positive impact with the wider community especially with the Auburn Council. We will discuss a similar assistance plan with the Auburn council and contribute towards the official government fund as an association rather than individuals.
We are aware that it is hard to support several tragedies in the same instance. However, we need to support the Queensland victims as well as victims in Sri Lanka. Please donate generously to support the flood victims in both places. The account details are below. Please send an email to confirm your contribution so that we can match with the bank deposit. Please clearly indicate the place where your donation should reach (Sri Lanka or Queensland or both and the amount for each location).
Bank: ANZ Bank
Name: Austra Lanka Muslim association Inc
BSB:  012 370
Acc No:  254 570 193
Above all please pray for relief to ease the suffering.
