Eid Mubarak - ALMA to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Tuesday 30 August 2011

Eid Mubarak!

ALMA will Insha Allah celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Tuesday 30 August 2011 at the Auburn Park (corner of Simpson Street and Macquarie Road).

The decision to celebrate Eid on Tuesday 30 August 2011 has been very difficult this year as a significant number of Sydney Muslims will also celebrate on Wednesday.

The Executive committee of ALMA met tonight (29/08/2011) to discuss various issues regarding this matter and concluded to follow decisions taken by two major masjids namely Galipolli and Lakemba Masjids to celebrate Eid on Tuesday 30 August 2011.

Members will have an opportunity to pay your Zakat-ul-Fitr before the prayer and it is set at $10 per person.

Members are requested to arrive early for Takbir at 7.30 am and the Eid prayers will be at 8.00 am.

In the event of rain, the Auburn Town Hall has been arranged as an alternative venue.
