Eid Mubarak: Eid-ul-Adha

ALMA will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on Friday 27 November 2009 Insha Allah. We take this opportunity to wish all our members and friends a very happy Eid Mubarak. We also ask Dua that Allah (SWT) accept the Hajj of millions of muslims who have gathered in the holy city of Makkah for the holy pilgrimage.

ALMA organised Eid prayers will be held at the Auburn Park, corner of Macquarie Rd and Simpson St with Takbir beginning at 7.30 am. Eid salat will be at 8.00 am followed by Eid Khutbah concluding at 8.30 am.

Our customery Eid breakfast is also part of the agenda for the morning. Some brothers and sisters have responded to our previous email on this subject and have come forward to sponsor the breakfast. We request those who are still interested to support this traditional event on this very joyful day for all Muslim families to contact us at their earliest possible convenience.

We are also pleased to inform that a number of brothers and sisters have come forward to sacrifice a Sheep fulfilling a great tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The cost is $100 per Sheep and as per the previous email bulk of the meat will be distributed among the poor and needy around the world while we will be using part of the meat to organise a BBQ on Sunday 6 December 2009 Insha Allah. Please confirm your interest to participate in the Qur'ban project.
