Lailathul Qadr Night 2010 - event schedule

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Assalamu Alaikum

We are nearing the halfway mark in the month of Ramadhan for year 2010. As the beginning of the last ten nights of Ramadhan is just a few days away, it is time for us to focus and engage ourselves in acts of Ibadah that Allah (SWT) will reward abundantly. Lailathul Qadr Night without a doubt is at the top of the list when it comes to rewards that Allah (SWT) will bestow upon His servants who seek forgiveness and the blessings of this night.

ALMA in its small ways would like to facilitate that you benefit from this night. Since this blessed night could be on any of the last ten days in this month, we have managed to organise an all night program to coincide with the 25th night of Ramadhan (Friday 03 September 2010). The venue for the event is Parry Park Pavilion, Lakemba (Cnr of Punchbowl Road and Colin Street - UBD 252 N15) .

Please arrive at 7.30 pm for us to start Isha prayers at 8.00 pm. Taraweeh prayers and a Bayan will follow Insha Allah. The agenda for the evening also includes Salat Tasbeeh, Salt Qiyam-ul-Lail, Salat Witr, Remembrance of Allah (Zikr), Tauba, several short Tazkirahs and of course Sahr meal. Please bring a Qur'an with you to read during the breaks.

As the program is an all night event, parents with small children may want to consider alternative arrangements prior to arrival. Since the nights are cooler during Winter, children might find difficult to cope where available heating could be insufficient.

Please confirm your participation by contacting us or by giving your names to Br. Rizvi Fareed as soon as possible to arrange the Sahr meal.
