Hajj Farewell 2010

ALMA conducted its sixth consecutive Hajj farewell ceremony on Sunday 17 October 2010 at the Auburn Town Hall to wish the pilgrims "Hajj Mabroor". They will be undertaking the sacred journey to Mecca this year Insha Allah and will be leaving Sydney within the next two weeks. Majority of the pilgrims from the ALMA community who have decided to take part in the Hajj journey this year participated in the event. The farewell ceremony was organised as a part of the ACEP program where a large number of well wishers also participated to exchange salams.

In addition to the opening speeches by Br. Ubaidur Rahmaan and Br. Mohamed Fazli, the event included an inspirational video presentation to encourage others to undertake this sacred journey. On behalf of the Hajis undertaking the journey, Br. Rizwan Miskin shared some of his thoughts that inspired him to decide to go for Hajj this year. The occasion served as an ideal opportunity to exchange salams personally with the pilgrims before their departure. As per available information 13 Hajis within the ALMA community are expected to go on the Hajj trip this year.
