As an initiative of the community liaison division of the Australian Federal Police, the fourth consecutive Iftar event was held on Sunday 15 August 2010 at the Grand Royale Banquet Hall in South Street, Granville.
ALMA was invited for this Iftar function where AFP commissioner Mr. Tony Negus delivered the keynote address. AFP Sydney office commander Mr. David Stewart also spoke on the occasion. A Muslim Nashid group called "Ahbab El Mustapha" performed live as part of entertainment for the large gathering. This group sang two songs welcoming the month of Ramadhan. Several community leaders, diplomats from several overseas missions, national harmony day leaders, heads of government agencies and politicians attended the function.
